Nepali national cricket team has left for Oman on Tuesday morning for the triangular one-day series against Oman and the United States under the ICC World Cup Cricket League-2.
Nepal Cricket Association (NCA) has stated that the Nepali team left Oman on Salaam Air at 8 in the morning. A 22-member team including 17 players has gone to Oman. CAN had announced a 17-member squad for the series under the captaincy of Gyanendra Malla. Bowler Gulshan Jha has been included in the national team for the first time.
The series between Nepal, Oman and the United States will be held from September 13 to September 19. The game schedule has not been made public.
Before the series, Nepal will play two ODIs against Papua New Guinea (PNG). Nepal will play the first match against PNG on September 5 and the second match on September 8.
Earlier, Nepal has played four home matches against Oman and USA under League-2. In which Nepal had defeated USA in two games and lost to Oman in both games.
Nepal has added 4 points in 4 games in the league. Nepal is in the sixth place. Oman is at the top with 16 points from 10 games. The United States is in second place with 12 points from 12 games.
