After playing the Asia Cup for the first time, the Nepali national cricket team returned home on Wednesday afternoon. Officials and supporters of Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) welcomed the team at Tribhuvan Airport.
Nepal, which competed from Group A of the Asia Cup, was eliminated from the group stage. For the first time in the group, Nepal competed against Pakistan, the world's top ranked team, and India, who are ranked third.
In the first match, Nepal lost to Pakistan by 238 runs and in the second match, India was defeated by 10 wickets based on Duckworth-Lewis rules.
However, compared to Pakistan, Nepal had a better performance against India.
