Nepalese taekwondo player Palesha Gobardhan has entered the quarterfinals of the Paris Para Olympics.

 In the women’s under 57 kg first-round match, Palesha beat Venezuela’s Valeria Morales by 31-0 points.

Palesha will face the Brazilian player Silvana Fernandez in the quarterfinals. Palesha is the first Nepali player to play in the Paralympics by passing the selection stage.
