Uncapped forward Adam Bareiro has been named in Paraguay’s squad for 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Argentina and Bolivia, the Paraguayan Football Association said on Friday.
Bareiro, 27, was included after a series of impressive performances for San Lorenzo in Argentina’s top flight.
Daniel Garnero, who replaced Guillermo Barros Schelotto as manager earlier this month, recalled right-back Alberto Espindola and midfielder Matias Galarza after the pair missed the team’s first two qualifiers earlier this month.
Paraguay will face Argentina in Buenos Aires on October 12 and Bolivia in Asuncion five days later.
The Albirroja began their South American zone qualifying campaign with a goalless home draw against Peru before losing 1-0 away to Venezuela.
