BAITADI: Lumbini defeated Gandaki Province in the Prime Minister’s Cup T20 women’s national cricket.
Lumbini registered its first victory against Gandaki by six wickets in today’s match at Phapla Cricket Ground in Dhangadhi.
Lumbini met the target of 98 runs posed by Gandaki in 16.2 overs at the loss of four wickets.
Saraswati, who was also chosen as the player of the match for Lumbini, remained unbeaten in 31 runs. Meanwhile, Ranju Shrestha scored 20 runs while Angi Pathak gathered 18 runs.
For Gandaki, Apeksha Budhathoki took two wickets. Earlier, Gandaki had scored 97 runs for the loss of four wickets in the entire 20 over match. For Gandaki, Salina Sen scored 33 unbeaten and Rekha Tamang scored 25 runs. Manish Rana took two wickets, Madhu DC and Angi Pathak took one wicket each for Lumbini.
