Pratikshya Magar, the youngest national player in Nepal women basketball team, was a kid when she was introduced to the sport.
“Like other girls I was never into makeup and fashion, sports was more my forte and whenever there was sports activities or competition taking place even at school, I always made sure I was a part of it,” says Magar.
Magar was a star player from the very beginning of her basketball journey. She first started playing basketball when she was in grade 6 at Valley Public School. “I loved all the sports but when I started playing basketball I felt like it was meant to happen,” Magar adds.
Her first international game representing the country was in 2017 FIBA U-16 women’s Asian championship held in Karnataka, India. She was the team captain.
