President Ramchandra Paudel has wished success to the Nepalese athletes who are going to participate in the 33rd Summer Olympics in Paris. President Paudel bade farewell to the players in a program organized at Rashtrapati Bhawan Sheetal Niwas on Friday.
On that occasion, President Paudel said that sports are the most appropriate way to introduce the nation to the international world and urged them to compete with high morale. He expressed his belief that the athletes participating in the summer Paris Olympics will raise the country's reputation. He advised the athletes to participate in the Olympics with determination.
At the event, President Paudel handed over the national flag of Nepal to the member secretary of the National Sports Council, Tankalal Ghising, who was the "Chief the Mission" of the Paris Olympics.
Youth and Sports Minister Tejulal Chaudhary, President of Nepal Olympic Committee Jeevanram Shrestha along with players, coaches and officials participating in the 33rd Summer Paris Olympics participated in the players' farewell program.
