Nepal has registered two consecutive wins in the SAAF Championships being held in Male, Maldives.
Nepal defeated Sri Lanka with a score of 3-2 in the match held late Monday.
Suman Lama, Anjan Bist, and Aayash Ghale scored one goal each leading to Nepal’s victory. Sri Lanka’s Marvin Hamilton and Dilon D Silva scored for the country.
Nepal took lead in the match as Suman Lama scored in the 33rd minute. Lama made his debut in an international match with this goal.
With this win, Nepal has secured the lead position by collecting a total of 6 points in two matches.
Two wins have made Nepal closer to the final. Nepal defeated the Maldives in the first game with a score of 1-0.
Nepal will be facing India in the SAAF Championships on 10th October, Sunday.
