SAFF Football 2023: Kuwait defeats Nepal by 3 goals against 1

Nepal has been defeated in the first match of SAFF Champions Football 2023 which started today in Bangalore, India. Kuwait, who has played World Cup football, had been putting pressure on Nepal since the start of today's match. However, the Nepali team played a good game in the beginning. But the Nepalese players could not stand in front of the fast-paced Kuwaiti players.

The Kuwaiti players were not giving the Nepali players a chance. In today's game, the Kuwaiti players showed supremacy.

Kuwait's captain Khalid Hajiya scored the first goal in 22 minutes after the start of the game. Kuwait added a second goal 4 minutes before half time. That goal was scored by Sabib Alkhadi.

 After the interval, Sani Shrestha missed a good chance to score for the Nepali team.

He managed to head from near the goal post of Kuwait, but the ball went wide of the post. After the interval, Kuwait had a chance to shoot a penalty against Nepal. Which was converted into a goal by Mohammed Abdullah of Kuwait and scored 3 goals for his team. After that, Nepal's Anjan Bista managed to score the first goal for Nepal by taking the ball to Kuwait's post alone. This was his 12th international goal and he was the third Nepali player to score against Kuwait.

Towards the end of the game, Nepal managed to get some opportunities. But the attempt was not successful.
