Three athletes from Nepal will take part in the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Dhaka Marathon. Pushpa Bhandari, Kiran Singh Bogati Rajwar and Narendra Singh Rawat will compete in the competition which will be held on January 10.
Pushpa and Kiran had also participated in the previous edition. In that edition, Pushpa had won gold while Kiran came fourth. This is Narendra's 'debut' international competition.
A four-member Nepali athletics team including the three athletes is leaving for Dhaka, Bangladesh tomorrow. The head coach of the team is Chandra Bahadur Gurung.
Minister for Youth and Sports Maheshwar Jung Gahatraj, Secretary Dr Damodar Regmi and Chief of the Administration Department under the National Sports Council Madhusudan Basnet bade farewell to them at a function held at the Sports Ministry's auditorium at Singha Durbar today.
