In the second ISF Gymnasiade-2023 started in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Nepal has won two bronze medals from boxing.

Prakriti Thapa won the bronze medal in the 51 kg weight group and Serap Galchen Sherpa won the bronze medal in the 60 kg weight group at the Olympic Park in Rio de Janeiro.

Both the players got a bye in the quarter-finals and played directly in the semi-finals. In the semi-final, Sherpa competed hard with the host Brazilian opponent, but could not win.
