TERATHUM: Deputy Prime Minister Prakash Man Singh has said that the tourism year of Koshi Province would contribute to the national economy.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony of ‘Tourism Year 2082’ launched by Koshi Province at ‘RR Garden’ in Tinjure area here today, he stressed the need for the three tiers of government to work together to change the condition of the people. The event was organized by the main organizing committee of the Province Government’s Koshi Province Tourism Year-2082.
On the occasion, Koshi Province chief minister Hikmat Karki pledged to work by correcting the shortcomings in tourism sector in the past years. He also said that provincial capital would be created through tourism by identifying new tourism destinations. Tourist-friendly structures have been constructed in Tinjure Milke Jaljale area which has been declared as the capital of Rhododendrons. Tourists from all over the country and abroad visit the area during the flowering season.
Minister for Forest and Environment Ain Bahadur Shahi, Koshi Province Speaker Ambar Bahadur Bista, members of the House of Representatives Sita Gurung and Rajendra Rai, among others, were present on the occasion.
