Nirmal Purja named NMA's Goodwill Ambassador for 2021

Nepal Mountaineering Association today named mountaineer Nirmal Purja as its Goodwill Ambassador for the year 2021.

The NMA, in order to promote Nepal's tourism, chose Purja, also known as Nimsdai, as its Goodwill Ambassador 

Purja will be provided with a token amount of Rs 100,000 for his contribution to promotional activities, as per the press statement issued on Tuesday. 

Further, the association has offered free membership of NMA to the expedition team members who recently made history by ascending Pakistan's K2, for the next 10 years.

The 10-member expedition team led by Nimsdai ascended the world's second highest peak, on January 16.
