The government has decided to stop the flights of Guna Airlines. The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has decided not to allow the planes to fly, judging that there is a risk of impact on air safety as the employees could not even be paid salaries.
According to Jagannath Niraula, spokesperson of the authority, the company has not been able to provide service facilities on time. Niraula said that the flight was stopped because it was reported that the airlines has been able to give salary to the employees on time as it is struggling financially.
'Unpaid employees may not work well, there may be more risks in air safety,' said spokesperson Niraula.
Guna Airlines had been providing air services by buying planes from Simrik Airlines. Due to the financial crisis, the company's obligations to various parties have also increased, the Information Authority has reached.
