Nepal Airlines issued a notice stating that all passengers arriving from the international sector must present a negative PCR report against COVID-19 or an international certificate with the bar code for the same.

Joint spokesperson of Nepal Airlines, Ganesh Kumar Ghimire, informed that the new provision was brought to action due to the worldwide growth of COVID-19 cases.

Countries such as Japan and South Korea have reported massive growths in COVID-19 cases.

The Civil Aviation Authority Nepal made COVID-19 international certificate or PCR negative report mandatory on December 23, 2022.

Nepal removed pre-arrival test requirements for fully vaccinated travelers on March 10, 2022.

Chinese authorities lifted travel bans and restrictions on citizens' outbound trips on Sunday, after being isolated from the world for almost three years.
