Nepali climbers who climbed Everest 25 times

Nepali climber Pasang Dawa Sherpa has succeeded in climbing Mt. Everest for the 25th time.

In an interview with NepalNews, he talks about how he has not received any award from the Government of Nepal or the Nepal Mountaineering Association so far. Adding to that he shares about having a hard time earning a living in Kathmandu although taking a risky profession.

 

Climbing Mt. Everest in spring and other mountains in autumn have been his regular activity for many years. Apart from this, He is also involved in agriculture.

Sherpa, who reached the summit twice this week, told NepalNews that he was very happy to go to the summit with Nepali climbers. He reached the summit as the mountain guide for Nepal's famous singer Raju Lama, doctor Ram Kumar Shrestha and Suraj Poudel.


He said that he had the opportunity to participate in a concert organized by singer Raju Lama on Everest and was very happy to hear his song from the base camp of Everest to South Cole.

Now, Sherpa is aiming to go to Amadablam Himal next September.

Climber Sherpa is now 46 years old. He says he expects his mountaineering career to continue till his fifties.
