Long and dangerous journey has been shortened after the construction of a suspension bridge on the Myagdi River at Kopilaghat of Dhaulagiri Village Municipality-4.

The bridge over river that flows through the border of Naura and Chechung, which is in a geographically remote and inaccessible area, has eliminated the problem of traveling on dangerous and winding roads. Rim Roka, a resident of Naura, said that a four-hour detour will only take one hour thanks to the bridge. "It took four hours to reach Naura-Chechung via Khiwang. The need to travel dangerously through forests, cliffs and valleys has also been removed." he said.

Dhaulagiri Municipality has constructed a 67-meter long suspension bridge at Kopilaghat in Naura. Dilip Thapa, a village technician, said that 39 households in Naura and Chechung have benefited from the Kopilaghat suspension bridge constructed at a cost of Rs 4,094,405. Of the seven projects started by Dhaulagiri Municipality last year, three have been completed so far. Earlier, a 35 meter long truss technology bridge was constructed at a cost of Rs 3.5 million.

According to Jit Garbuja, chairman of the Consumers' Committee, 700 households in Malkewang, Marang, Arbang, Hongbang, Ausibang, Bhedikhalta and Raghuganga have benefited from the bridge.

Similarly, 100 households of Khoriya have benefited from the 32 meter bridge constructed at a cost of Rs 3.241 milion. After the construction of the bridge, the obligation to move around at risk in the rainy season has been removed. TBSU's swap program provided equipment for the construction of the bridge. The village municipality has procured and transported steel pots.
