Climbers from Russia and Ukraine to ascend Everest

Climbers from Russia and Ukraine are coming to Nepal to climb the mountain. Nineteen male and six female climbers have been allowed to climb by the Russian Federation. Of them, 12 men and 4 women have received permission from the Department of Tourism, Government of Nepal to climb the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest.

Antonina Samoilova, the only female climber from Ukraine, is trying to climb Mt. Everest. Her goal is to garner worldwide support against Russia by hoisting her country’s flag on the summit of Mount Everest.

She has climbed Kilimanjaro in Africa, Elbrus in Europe and Mount Vinson in Antarctica.
