Despite Russia and Ukraine being at war, climbers from these two countries have given a message of reconciliation to the world from Nepal. Although two climbers from Russia and Ukraine were on different climbing teams, they have managed to convey this message by climbing Everest together. This opportunity was provided by Nepal’s Seven Summit Treks for the climbers to climb Mt. Everest.
According to the Seven Summit Treks Sagarmatha (Everest) Expedition 2022, Antonina Samoilova of Ukraine and Raul Andres Biochi Torres of Russia reached the summit of Mount Everest today. The team consisted of 16 climbers from Oman, India, Colombia, USA, Japan, Mexico, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Colombia, Israel and Malaysia.
