A rhino has been found dead in the Chitwan National Park (CNP). The one-horned female rhino, aged around 25, was found dead in the Khoriya area of the national park.
Information Officer of the CNP, Ganesh Prasad Tiwari shared that the horn and hooves of the rhino were found unseized.
“The fatal accident took place due to in-fighting”, he informed, adding the death toll of the endangered species in the CNP has reached five in the current fiscal year.
It is suspected that one of them was killed in poaching.
A rhinoceros has been found dead in Chitwan National Park (CNP).
According to the information given by the park office, a male rhino around 20 years old was found dead at the park near Seri Post under the Amaltari sector.
The information officer of the park, Ganesh Prasad Tiwari, informed that the dead rhino was found dead while patrolling on Wednesday morning.
In the current financial year, 13 rhinos have been found dead in the park.
