KATHMANDU: There are currently no major weather systems affecting the country.

As of Monday morning, the weather in the hilly and mountainous regions is mostly clear, while mist and fog are widespread across various parts of the Terai.

The mist and fog are especially affecting the Terai regions of Madhes and Koshi provinces, but the Weather Forecasting Division predicts that conditions will improve gradually after noon.

Considering that mist and fog may disrupt daily activities, health, and both road and air transportation in the Terai, the Division has advised the public to take necessary precautions.

In a bulletin issued at 6 am on Monday, the Division mentioned, “Mist and fog in many areas of the Terai in Madhes and Koshi provinces are expected to clear after noon, and fog in some other parts of the Terai should also dissipate by midday. As this may impact daily life, health, and transportation until noon, we recommend taking appropriate measures to reduce potential effects.”
