While fans and the general public eagerly await justice, Elina Chauhan, the victim herself, has yet to file a formal FIR against the man accused of defaming, threatening, and cheating her.

Reports confirm that police have stated no complaint has been filed against Deepak Baraili, whom Elina claims falsely posed as her manager and pocketed cash from event organizers for appearances she made.

Elina has openly accused him of fraud, asserting that Baraili took her wages under the guise of managing her professional affairs.

SP Deepak Raj Awasthi from the Nepal Police Cyber Bureau explained that they cannot act without an official complaint.

“We have not received any complaint so far,” he said. “If a complaint is filed, we will initiate an investigation.”

Despite her public accusations, Elina expressed frustration that Baraili has not been arrested.

She explained that while she has been busy and unable to visit the police station, numerous others have come forward with similar stories of being scammed by him, yet there has been no noticeable action from the authorities.

After Elina posted a video revealing the alleged fraud, more of Baraili’s wrongdoings came to light, but he has not been apprehended.

“Even after everything, no one has caught him,” Elina said. The police clarified that they cannot consider social media posts or rumors as evidence for taking action without an official complaint.

“We will investigate if there is a formal complaint,” said a senior officer. “Personal issues typically do not fall within our jurisdiction unless they involve state matters.”

Meanwhile, Baraili reportedly threatened Elina with a chilling message: “When there’s fire, everybody wants to warm themselves by it. This will all come back around in time. No matter what happens to me, even if I end up in jail, remember this: this could lead to a major disaster in your life.” He allegedly added, “Save this message forever; it will never be deleted. Don’t consider this a threat, sister—it’s just advice.”

In response, Elina posted a video warning fellow artists about Baraili’s actions. After receiving the threatening message, she shared the audio of his intimidating words on social media.

As of now, fans and supporters are left wondering whether this will become yet another case that remains unresolved. All eyes are on the unfolding situation, as justice continues to hang in the balance.
