Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal (FHAN) has provided financial assistance to the National Innovation Center (NIC).

The FHAN, an umbrella body of the handicraft associations, has given a sum of Rs 100 thousand to the Center which is contributing towards the control of spread of COVID-19.

FHAN officiating General Director Rhishi Raj Subdei told the RSS that the assistance was ensured in recognition of the Center’s humanitarian programmes during the COVID-19 crisis.

It may be noted that the Center’s latest innovations also include the manufacturing of medical devices useful in the treatment of COVID-19 cases.

The amount was deposited in the Center’s Global IME Bank account. Earlier, the FHAN had assisted medical supplies to the Thapathali- based Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital (Prasuti Griha), Teku-based Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital, and Patan Academy of Health Sciences (Patan Hospital) among others under its social responsibility scheme.
