A male body has been found in a suspicious situation in Chameli jungle of Suryabinayak Municipality-1 in Bhaktapur district on Sunday.

The body has still not been identified. The age of the deceased person is around 40/42 years old, according to the police.

DSP Dipak Giri, Spokesperson of Metropolitan Police Sector of Bhaktapur district, informed the body was found with a medical bandage wrapped on the left hand and a telephone cord tied around the neck. The wire was also tied to a tree.

According to Thimi-based Metropolitan Police Circle, the male was wearing a green jacket, orange coloured underwear, and black shoes.

The body was found in a decomposing state and police said the man must have died about a week ago.

The body has been sent to Duwakot-based KMC Hospital for autopsy and further investigation into the case is underway, said the police.
