Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya has stated that the Election Commission aims to hold the local elections in a free, fair, and fearless environment. At a press conference held this evening, he said that necessary security arrangements have been made in all the 21,955 polling stations across the country so that the voters can cast their votes fearlessly.
He informed that three security cordons have been set up in the security system with the involvement of the Nepal Army.
Stating that all the 753 election offices across the country have been assigned to be active for the election, he said that those violating the code of conduct would be monitored and an explanation would be sought within 12 hours.
