Independent candidate Balendra Shah has sealed victory in the local election in the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC). He had secured 61,767 votes.

The 32-year-old Shah, also is a well-known rapper, has completed Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Himalayan White House Institute of technology and Master’s in Structural Engineering from the Karnatak Biswesworaiya National Polytechnic Institute of India.

Speaking to RSS reporters Ashok Ghimire and Sharmila Pathak the newly-elected Mayor talked about the future of the city.
