One killed in tiger attack

Chitwan, Sept 11 (RSS): A senior citizen died in a tiger attack in Madi. The deceased has been identified as Suryanath Adhikari, 68.

According to District Police Office Spokesperson DSP Bijayaraj Pandit, the jungle cat had bounced on Adhikari who was grazing cattle in a community forest on Saturday.

Adhikari who remained out of touch since Saturday was found dead at 8.30 am on Sunday.

The office said his body was found at Madhyawarti community forest and it seemed the jungle beast attacked him to death.

The body was taken to the Bharatpur Hospital for post-mortem.

One person has been killed in a tiger attack in Rapti Municipality of East Chitwan. The deceased has been identified as Sotimaya Tamang, 55, of Chitwan, according to the District Police Office, Chitwan.

 According to the office, Tamang was attacked by a tiger this afternoon while cutting grass inside the Chitwan National Park at Rapti-1. She died on the spot after being attacked by a tiger.

A man died in a tiger attack at Chitwan National Park. The deceased has been identified as Suresh BK, 39, of Madi municipality-9, Bandarjhula, shared by CNP’s information officer Ganesh Prasad Tiwari.

The tiger had bounced on BK at CNP’s Dhovan Buffer Community Forest of Bharatpur metropolis-23 on Sunday evening.

Information Officer Tiwari further shared that the tiger had attacked BK while he was on the way to collect grass. BK died on the spot in the tiger’s attack.

According to CNP sources, BK’s dead body was found in nearby Hariyali Community Forest.
