Nepal Police have arrested five people for stealing telecom wires.
A police team deployed from Metropolitan Police Circle Balaju and Metropolitan Police Division Dharmasthali arrested five people for stealing wires being placed at a pole at Lolang Heights in Tarkeshwor Municipality-6 and made them public today. Among the arrested are Prem Bahadur Bohara, 23, of Bajhang, Namesh Budha, 25, of Kailali, Govind Saud, 24, of Kailali, Pravin Karki, 30, of Kavrepalanchok and a teenager of 18.
A team deployed from Dharmasthali and Balaju on the basis of information that telecom wire was stolen at the spot, arrested them while their vehicle (Province No. 3-01-023 Ch. 4301) was heading towards the forest.
Police have recovered various tools used to cut the wire and 1,400 meters of black telephone wire from them. According to the Metropolitan Police Complex, Kathmandu, they are conducting further investigation from Balaju Police Circle.
