On the occasion of, the second day of Yamapanchak, Kukur Tihar celebration was successfully completed today, Monday, where a program was organized at Nepal Police Headquarters Crime Investigation Department Canine Office Maharajganj.
In the program, the head of the office, Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Deuti Gurung worshiped the various trained dogs in the office. He also awarded prizes and medals to this year's best dog "Puppy", "Ruru" who was the best in running, "Ria" who was the best in the high jump, and "Rose" who was the best in hurdles.
On that occasion, Police Superintendent Dr. Ramchandra Satyal, while expressing his welcome speech, informed me about the help provided by the dogs of Nepal Police to investigate crimes in various places.
In the program, the trained dogs in the office performed obstacle crossing, tracker dog work, rescue dog work, running competition, high jump competition, search for sable, criminal search and identification, arms and explosives search and identification, drug detection, and identification, remote control art exhibition.
Works such as figure-making and obedience art exhibitions were organized. To make the investigation process of Nepal Police factual and evidence-based, trained dogs have been used in crime investigation and other activities for a long time. Also, on the same occasion, dogs were worshiped today in the canine offices of the province. Police officers, media personnel, and residents were also present in the program.
