Kalimati-based Metropolitan Police Circle (MPC) apprehended seven persons involved in gambling offences from Kalanki in Chandragiri Municipality -2 in Kathmandu.
One of the arrested has been identified as Rabin Bidari (50) of Kalanki in the same municipality while the names of the other six have not been revealed.
Acting on a tip-off that Bidari was conducting gambling activities in his law firm, MPC nabbed them on Thursday evening.
MPC seized Rs 71,700 and also recovered six decks of cards from their possession.
Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is being carried out, informed MPC.
