The vote count for Lalitpur Metropolitan City will take place from 8 am today (Saturday), according to the district election office. Ballot boxes from various polling centers in the district have yet to arrive.
So, the vote count will take place today after an all-party meeting, said chief returning officer Kiran Prasad Shiwakoti. Out of the total 122,890 eligible voters in the metropolis, 86,540 votes were cast for the local election, said the election office.
Similarly, it is yet to be decided upon whether the vote count for Godavari Municipality would take place on Friday night or Saturday morning as ballot boxes from its two wards, 8 and 9 have yet to arrive, said election officer Shradha Rijal. An all-party meeting would decide this, she added.
Similarly, the date for vote count for Mahangkaal Rural Municipality has yet to be fixed as ballot boxes from some polling centers are yet to arrive, said election officer Sushila Gyawali. The rural municipality got a 77.96 percent vote cast.
Preparations were underway to count a vote for Konjyosom Rural Municipality on Friday night, said election office, Devi Kumari Chaudhary. The rural municipality received a 75.54 percent vote cast.
