A total of 1,522 people have availed free services from the Ayurveda dispensary in Shuklaphanta Municipality-10 Jhalari during the last four months of the current fiscal year.
A total of 342 people received treatment along with free medicine from Ayurveda dispensaries in October last year. The dispensary has been providing medicines for 30 types of diseases to the patients, said Kaviraj Jayaram Shah. He said that the number of patients using Ayurvedic medicine has been increasing since the outbreak of Corona.
"Demand for health-promoting and prophylactic medicines is on the rise," he said.
He said that before the corona infection, only a few patients used to go to Ayurvedic dispensaries for treatment. "Now that the patients are realizing the importance of Ayurvedic medicine, it is becoming difficult to get the medicine," said Kaviraj Shah. He said that the pressure of patients has also increased as there is only one dispensary providing government Ayurvedic medicine and treatment.
According to him, 4,476 patients have received services from the dispensary till mid-July 2077 BS. Out of which, 1,384 people have received services for rheumatism, 748 for acidosis, 437 for respiratory diseases, 215 for anesthesia, 113 for gynecology, and 256 for gastroenteritis.
These diseases include fever, respiratory disorders, diarrhea, gonorrhea, jaundice, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, swelling, worms, psoriasis, trauma, rheumatism, hemorrhage, urinary disorders, obstetric disorders, eye diseases, ear, intoxication, mouth, teeth, throat diseases, Patients with headaches, pediatrics, and obstetrics have also benefited from the dispensary.
