PARBAT: The Parbat District Hospital has implemented a drinking water supply using a lifting technology, finally addressing a long-standing need that had persisted for four decades.
Shankar Giri, Chairman of the Hospital Development Committee, explained that the water is sourced from Gopangghat in Kushma Municipality-5 and transported via a lifting system.
The water is collected from the Kaligandaki River and stored in a tank with a capacity of 150,000 liters.
The project was completed with an investment of Rs 9 million from the Health Ministry of Gandaki Province and the Parbat District Hospital.
According to Medical Superintendent Dr. Hemanta Bastola, the 50-bed hospital provides healthcare services to over 58,000 individuals annually.
