KATHMANDU: The police have submitted the investigation report against Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) president Rabi Lamichhane, who was involved in the cooperative savings scam, to the District Attorney's Office.
The Cooperative Special Investigation Committee led by CPN-UML lawmaker Surya Bahadur Thapa Chhetri had found Lamichhane guilty. He was arrested on Kartik 2 after the committee recommended action as per the prevailing law, stating that Lamichhane was involved in the cooperative case. He has been in the custody of the Kaski Police since Kartik 3.
The Government Attorney's Office, Kaski, is likely to take the file against Lamichhane to the District Court on Monday.
