The federal government has allocated Rs. 7 billion from the budget to Sarlahi.
Out of eleven municipalities and nine village municipalities, Lalbandi municipality has got the highest budget. Rs. 644 million for Lalbandi, Rs. 577.7 million for Hariwan, Rs. 473.9 million for Ishwarpur, and Rs. 472.5 million for Barhathwa. A budget of Rs. 407.9 million has been allocated for Bagmati, Rs. 384.2 million for Kawilasi, Rs. 372.9 million for Haripur, and Rs. 313.2 million for Haripurwa Municipality.
Out of the nine village municipalities in the district, Bishnu village municipality was allocated with the biggest budget and the lowest budget was allocated to Parsa village municipality. A budget of Rs 306.2 million was allocated for Vishnu, Rs 296.4 million for Kaudena, Rs 294.1 million for Bramhapuri, Rs 267 million for Chandranagar, Rs 255 million for Basbariya, Rs 233.6 million for Chakraghatta and Rs 233.6 million for Ramnagar. A budget of Rs. 233.1 million has been allocated for Dhankaul, Rs. 234 million and Rs. 207.5 million for Parsa village municipality.
After the federal government, the state government is now presenting the budget in its state assembly on June 24. After that, all the municipalities across the country will present the budget of the municipality in their village and municipal council on June 29. Municipalities will bring the budget by estimating the internal revenue in the budget allocated by the federal and state governments.
