The Nepal Bar Association has demanded an investigation into the veracity of the audio material that was negotiated to release Ichchha Raj Tamang, the director of the Civil Cooperative, on bail.
The bar has demanded an investigation into the talks between Kathmandu District Court Judge Raj Kumar Koirala and advocate Rudra Prasad Pokhrel to release Tamang on bail. In a statement issued today, Bar General Secretary Anjita Khanal said, "We strongly urge the regulatory body of the Nepal Bar Association to bring the culprits to justice if they are found to be involved.
Barr also condemned such unwarranted, indecent and inappropriate actions by judges, staff and legal practitioners who play a key role in enhancing the credibility of the judiciary as the last center of faith and heritage of the citizens.
