KATHMANDU: Story writer Bishnu Paduka has received the first prize for the story 'Magyud Khona' in the 12 Khari Story Competition. He was the winner in the sixth edition of the story competition organized by 12 Khari Media.
Minister for Communications and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung presented a prize of one hundred thousand rupees and a trophy to the winner Paduka at a programme held in Kathmandu today.
Similarly, Prameya Bhandari's story 'Kritrim Sapana' has been awarded the second prize and Bivek Dhimal's story 'Mainle Dekheko Bidyalaya' has been awarded the third prize. They received cash prizes of Rs 60,000 and Rs 40,000 respectively.
In the event, the book ' 12 Khari Best Stories-2081', a compilation of the best 25 stories from the nine hundred and thirty-seven stories received from different countries including Nepal was also launched.
