KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli left for China today for a four-day official visit, which will take place from December 2 to 5, at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.
Accompanied by his wife, Radhika Shakya, and a group of officials, PM Oli is scheduled to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping and hold talks with Premier Li.
He will also engage with senior members of the Chinese Communist Party during his trip.
A notable event will be PM Oli’s keynote speech at Peking University. A large delegation of Nepalese government officials will accompany the Prime Minister from Kathmandu to Beijing.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning confirmed the visit, stating, "Nepal’s Prime Minister Oli will pay an official visit to China from December 2 to 5 at the invitation of Premier Li Keqiang of the State Council."
