CPN is close to winning the election of engineer

The Standing Committee meeting of CPN UML has been scheduled for Tuesday, July 13, 2021.

In the election of the Nepal Engineers Association, the ruling Nepali Congress has come close to the victory of the Center for Democratic Engineers (SIDEN).

As the vote count continues, Siden has taken the lead among all other candidates. After counting a total of 9077 votes, Hari Bahadur Darlami of Siden has taken the lead with 3669 votes, out of 21,000 voters.

In the second place is Suraj Lamichhane, who has become the chairman of the organization of engineers close to the CPN (UML). He has got 2759 votes. 

Similarly, Siden has the lead in the General Secretary. Ravi Bhushan Jha is leading with 3758 votes. In the second round, Bheshraj Thapa got 2451 votes from the Engineers' Association close to UML.

Jha, who is the candidate for the post of general secretary from Syden, said that the counting of votes was nearing completion, and victory was assured due to their convenient lead in all the posts. "We have won in all the states that have been counted," he told Online News.

He has also won the stateside. So far, the sedan has won in all 7 out of 5 states.

In-State 1, Jayanath Yadav, Gandaki Vijendra KC, Shailendra Shrestha in Lumbini, Hari KC in Karnali, and Padma Raj Pant in Far West have been elected as chairpersons.

As there are 1000 voters in Madhesh Pradesh, only 25 votes have been counted till the news is ready. He said that the counting of Madhesh Pradesh has been intensified to make the results of the Center public soon.

In Madhes and Bagmati state, the results are yet to publish. Jha informed that the census was almost completed in Bagmati and due to some disputes counting started late amid in Madhesh Pradesh. The results of the Center will be announced after the results of both the states.

There are two panels in the election from the Congress. Engineers close to the Congress are competing by forming another panel led by Dilip Kumar Jha. However, Congress has given official recognition to Darlami's panel.

The Maoist Center, the Unified Socialists, and the People's Socialists have another faction. Similarly, the Nepal Mazdoor Kisan Party Nitak panel is also in the election race.
