The fire damaged four to five houses. Helicopters from the Beas Municipality as well as the fire brigade from Pokhara and Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security Krishna Kumar Shrestha himself assisted in extinguishing the fire. Due to the narrow space, there was a problem in getting the fire brigade to enter. Later, the fire brigade was attacked by a dozer near Bhopal Hardware.
A Simrik Air helicopter carried water from the Madi River to help extinguish the fire. It is said that the fire was brought under control due to the helicopter. Kalibhanjan Gana (E), Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and locals were involved in controlling the fire.
Previously, A Simrik Air helicopter from Kathmandu had started extinguishing the fire in Damauli Bazaar. Helicopters had started extinguishing the fire by carrying water from the river near the market.
Captain in Command Surendra Poudel and Captain Rajendra Duwal were in the helicopter. Yogesh Sapkota of Simrik Air informed that a fire control team was also with them.
The Home Ministry had written a letter to Simrik Air asking for its help. After that, the helicopter went to Damauli from Kathmandu.
It was difficult for the fire brigade to reach the place where the fire broke out as the road was narrow. Efforts are being made to extinguish the fire from both the fire brigade and the helicopter.
