Devotees visiting Pashupatinath must wear masks

Devotees who come to pay homage to Pashupatinath on the day of Mahashivaratri are required to wear masks unavoidably. Masks and sanitizers have been made mandatory at the Pashupatinath Temple on Tuesday due to the increasing number of visitors and crowds at the Pashupatinath Temple, said Purnasangam Jethara, a member of the Pashupati Area Development Fund and coordinator of the fair management committee.

 He said, "Crowds have increased in Pashupati from today. Considering the corona infection, we have made masks and sanitizers mandatory. Those who do not use masks will not be allowed in." Member Secretary of the Pashupati Area Development Fund, Dr. Milan Thapa, informed that security personnel and volunteers have been mobilized from 5 pm today. Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale inspected the Pashupati area today and instructed the visitors to manage water and free food.

 There are three ways to visit the temple. There will be a line from Guheshwari-Gaurighat, Umakunda-Dakshinamurti to the north side of Rudra Gadeshwar, Mitra Park Jayabageshwari, to the west door through the brick gate in Bhubaneswar and to Battispulti, Gaushala, Airport and Tilganga Char Shivalaya.
