The Ghorahi Sub-Metropolis City has presented a budget of Rs 2.32 billion for the upcoming fiscal year in yesterday's municipal assembly.
Presenting the budget, Deputy Mayor Huma Kumari DC said Rs 1.25 billion (53.85 percent) has been allocated towards current expenditure while Rs 1.07 billion (46.15 percent) is proposed for the capital expenditure.
The Ghorahi Sub-Metropolis City has set a target to make an income of Rs 320 million in the coming fiscal year. A total of Rs 359 million would be managed from the federal fiscal equalization grant, Rs 257 million from the federal revenue sharing, Rs 700,000 from federal royalty sharing, and Rs 20 million from the special grant.
Similarly, Rs 16.7 million would be arranged from the provincial equalization grant, Rs 44.4 million from provincial revenue sharing, Rs 16 million from the provincial conditional grant, Rs 30 million from the provincial supplementary grant, and Rs 8 million provincial special grant.
The remaining Rs 535 million would be managed from bank deposits of the current fiscal year, Deputy Mayor DC announced.
