Nepali Congress leader and member of the House of Representatives Dr Chandrakant Bhandari is returning home today after successful medical treatment in India.
Leader Bhandari was injured in a fire incident that took place due to a cooking gas leakage at his residence in Buddhanagar, Kathmandu on February 15. He is returning home after two and a half months of intensive medical treatment in Mumbai, India.
Dr. Bhandari is a member of parliament in the House of Representatives representing Gulmi constituency No. 1.
He underwent treatment at the National Burn Center in Mumbai, India. According to leader Madhav Neupane, Dr Bhandari's health has gradually improved and he is now able to talk and walk.
It may be noted that MP Bhandari's mother Harikala, who was also seriously injured in the incident, died during treatment in Kathmandu on February 16.
