The Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) has won the chairmanship of Sinja village municipality of Jumla. Chairman candidate Purna Prasad Dhital won with 1,949 votes. Dhital's rival Nandaram Budha of the Nepali Congress polled 1,831 votes.
Similarly, Maoist's Shitala Rokaya has also won the post of vice-president. He has got 1,956 votes. His rival Rajkala Shahi of the Nepali Congress polled 1,068 votes, according to the Office of the Returning Officer. Out of the eight local levels, the Maoist center has so far won only the chairman and vice-chairman of Sinja village.
In Patarasi village, the UCPN (M) has won the post of vice-chairman and the Nepali Congress has won the post of chairman. In Hima and Kankasundari villages, the Nepali Congress has already won the chairmanship and vice-chairmanship. The final results of Chandannath Municipality, Tila Tatopani and Guthichaur are yet to come, according to the Chief Election Office.
