The results of 15 wards of Myagdi have been made public till this morning under the local level election held on Friday. When the results of 45 wards of six local levels were made public, the CPN (UML) won in seven, Nepali Congress in five and CPN (Maoist Center) in two wards. UCPN-M's Zak Bahadur Chhantyal has been unopposed in Dhaulagiri village municipality-1 Gurja.
According to Election Officer Januka Subedi, Dilip Kumar Garbuja of UML got 332 votes and Om Prakash Fagami of Sahi Party got 329 votes in Ward No. 2.
In Malika Gaonpalika Ward No. 1, Congress' Tanka Prasad Pun won with 462 votes, UML's Uday Kumar Budhathoki in Ward No. 2 with 751 votes and UCPN-M's Moti Prasad Budha with 345 votes in Ward No. 3, said Assistant Election Officer Hemraj Kafle.
Similarly, Vijendra Man Pun of the Nepali Congress has been elected as the ward chairperson in Malika-4 and Meem Pun of the Nepali Congress in Malika-5. Tek Bahadur Thapa of UML has been elected as the ward chairman of ward no. 1 of Beni municipality.
Congress' Bil Prasad Fagami has been elected as the chairman of Raghuganga village municipality-1 and UML's Amrit Bhandari has been elected as the chairman of Raghuganga village municipality-2. Ekjit Roka of UML and Dhan Bahadur Khati Chhetri of the same party have won in Mangala village municipality-1 and 2 respectively.
UML's Ak Prasad BK has been elected as the chairman of Dhaulagiri Village Municipality-2 Lulang. Counting of votes at all six local levels is underway. UML is leading in Beni mayor, UCPN (Maoist) in deputy mayor, UML in Mangala and Annapurna, Congress candidates in Malika, Dhaulagiri and Raghuganga village. Out of the total 85 thousand 375 voters, 56 thousand 543 votes were cast. There were 718 candidates vying for 237 posts to be elected in the district.
