Elections are being held today in nine polling stations of five local levels out of those postponed on May 12. According to the Election Commission, two polling stations of Shri Ram Higher Secondary School in Panchkhal Municipality-13 of Kavrepalanchok, two polling stations of Navjyoti Higher Secondary School in Panchdeval Binayak Municipality-5 of Achham, three polling stations of Thakurdevi Higher Secondary School in Shahidbhoomi village of Dhankuta and Vijay Higher Secondary School of Rehabilitation Municipality-10 in Kanchanpur There is one polling station at Peace Creative Academy in Budhinanda Nagar, Bajura.
Of the 85 polling stations in 44 polling stations of 17 districts and 28 local levels which have been postponed due to disputes between political parties and candidates and other parties, new election dates are being fixed and the process of holding the election is underway. Among the postponed polling, polling has been completed peacefully in 7 stations on May 15 and in 13 stations on May 16.
The polling will be held at two polling stations in VDC Bhawan of Beas Municipality-4 of Tanahu, two polling stations at Laxmipur in Gadhimai Municipality-3 of Rautahat, and two polling stations at Adarsh Higher Secondary School in Ward No. 6.
Among those who have been suspended, the investigation committee formed in Budhiganga Nagar of Bajura on May 12 has canceled the voting process and the report from the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) to hold another polling.
