KATHMANDU: The weather in Nepal’s mountainous regions is being partially affected by westerly and local winds.
Currently, the skies are partly cloudy to generally cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, while other parts of the country are seeing partly cloudy to clear conditions.
This afternoon, the Weather Forecasting Division predicts that the weather will remain partly cloudy to mostly clear in the hilly areas, including Koshi Province.
There is a possibility of light to moderate rain, along with thunder and lightning, in certain areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, and light snowfall is anticipated in a few spots.
Tonight, the weather is expected to stay partly cloudy to mostly clear nationwide, with some chance of light rain in a few areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces.
In the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning could occur in some hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, as well as in one or two other hilly areas.
The Division has recommended taking necessary precautions due to the likelihood of adverse weather conditions.
