Minister for Industry, Commerce, and Supplies Dilendra Prasad Badu has received a courtesy call from Canadian Ambassador to Nepal Cameron Dean McKay. During the meeting held at the Ministry today, they discussed various issues of bilateral friendly relations between Nepal and Canada, according to Minister Badu's Secretariat.
During the meeting, Minister Badu lauded Canada's support for Nepal's development and thanked it for its support in the health sector during the Covid-19 epidemic. He also called for continued support in the aftermath of Covid's infection. Stating that such assistance would play an important role not only in strengthening the relationship between the governments of the two countries but also at the grassroots level, Minister Badu expressed confidence that the Government of Canada would continue to support Nepal in the days to come as in the past.
Stating that the five-decade-long bilateral diplomatic relations have been cordial and the Government of Canada's support for Nepal's democratic movement, peace process, and development has been commendable, he requested increased investment in Nepal in the areas of trade facilitation and agriculture, energy, infrastructure, tourism, and human resource development.
