Senior Nepali Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel has said that the MCC pass cannot be treasonous. He made the remarks while unveiling a half-sized statue of NC Martyr Bikram Pariyar organized by the Statue and Park Construction Committee today.
He accused the communist component of signing the MCC agreement. Stating that activities such as violence and terror are taking place due to poverty, Poudel said that increasing the power capacity of Nepal would play an important role in alleviating poverty by strengthening the economy. Talking about the important contribution made by Swa Pariyar for the defence of democracy and democracy, he said that the party honoured him as a martyr.
A central member of the party Shankar Bhandari said that the Congress should respect the martyrs and work for building a prosperous Nepal. He stressed the need for the party to take initiative to fulfil the remaining dreams of the self-made family and to build a martyr's park. Another central member, Govinda Bhattarai, accused the communist elements of fleeing while demanding MCC. He further added that there was a conspiracy to push the US into an economic crisis by bargaining for free grants and making election issues.
Minister for Internal Affairs of Gandaki Pradesh Dowate Bishwakarma stressed the need to move forward by maintaining family ties between the family of late Martyr Pariyar and the NC. A half-sized statue of Swa Pariyar has been constructed at a cost of Rs.1,101,250.
