Office-bearers of the Nepal Bar Association and senior advocates have drawn the attention of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba over Supreme Court row and submitted a memorandum urging him to take initiative.
During the meeting with Prime Minister Deuba at his official residence in Baluwatar, they briefed him about their protest against anomalies and misdemeanors in the judiciary, said President of Nepal Bar Association, Chandeshwor Shrestha.
Requesting Prime Minister Deuba to take initiatives for finding an outlet to the problem, they put forth their views regarding the role to be played by political parties representing in the Parliament and the morality to be shown by the leaders.
On the occasion, taking the issues put forth by the Bar office-bearers seriously, Prime Minister Deuba said that he was aware of the matter, shared Shrestha.
PM Deuba said that the government would make its opinion for the outlet of the matter within a few days by holding a meeting among leaders of the five parties' alliance immediately over the issue.
Central office-bearers, office-bearers of Supreme Court Bar Association, former Presidents and former general-secretaries of the Bar Association, former attorney generals, and former Speakers were present on the occasion.
